Ordinal Numbers

1st First:primero 2nd Second:segundo
3rd Third:tercero 4th Fourth:cuarto
5th Fifth:quinta 6th Sixth:sexto
7th Seventh:séptimo, 8th Eighth:octavo
9th Ninth:noveno 10th Tenth:décimo

The older folks still use the sixth and successive numbers as in the regular Spanish vocabulary .
The Chavacano equivalent for these ordinal number ,usually, from sixth going up is to place the syllable “aka” to denote sequence, thus Sixth will read as. Some Chavacanos use “ica” for “aka”.

6th aka-seis 7th aka-siete
8th aka-ocho 9th aka -nueve
10th aka-diez 11th aka- once
15th aka- quince 20the aka- veinte
And so on and so forth
“The second house” will read as
“El segundo casa”
“Eight car” will be “aka ocho coche”
The 12th senator will translate to
“El aka-ocho senador.”

Note: When used as an adjective, the “o” is dropped from primero and tercero, thus “first night” is primer noche,, “third night” is tercer noche.. The syllable “aka” is used all throughout the sequence of ordinal numbers except for the first five ordinal numbers
